Miss Muffet

I loathe spiders, especially when they’re big and chunky like this one. Being macho and conquering my fears, I got up and personal with the spider on a 55mm lens. Sadly, it doesn’t come close to my earlier fly photo this week.

Nibbling Nuts

Aside from pigeons, squirrels are high up my list of UK wildlife I like to photograph. It’s a bit limited in London, with either the above or rats… Still, this little guy was shot in awful light at a very slow speed, but he stayed rigid for me long enough to get a close up. Very proud of this and the focus. It was taken with my D5000 and it was the first day I’d walked around London with it.

Real Life Limbo

As someone kindly mentioned on Twitter, this looks like a screenshot from the Xbox Live Arcade game, Limbo. I love the silhouette in this shot, the crumbled detail at the end and the way the spider’s legs hook round. To think this was taken on top of a water bottle in Palm Springs. The smallest details make the largest photos.

Someone’s Ant-sy

I’m particularly proud of this, purely because I’m still shooting non-Macro lens (as my camera’s a Sony H50 bridge). Still, I was photographing my summer garden and this little guy managed to stop long enough for me to capture him!

I’m trying to add a bit more ‘me’ into my photography posts. So expect a small description with each in the future.
