Ka Kaw!

So it’s that time again; One A Day. There’s obviously a common theme running through my posts recently with a heavy focus on photography. Then again when you spend £400 on a new lens, you’re hardly going to use it as a paperweight!

Still, enjoy today’s photo regardless – it’s got lovely colours.

Look at the bird in the corner…

With no time for a written one a day, I instead leave you with one of today’s photos, a pretty cool capture – check that bird in the corner… No, that isn’t photoshop.

London Tide

It’s very rare that the Thames’ tide is out so far. Still, never one to miss an opportunity like the below (it’s an unusual angle of Tower Bridge that is very rarely available), I went down on to the river bank to get this. I got nice and low for a fair amount of foreground. The light at the time it was taken was also fantastic. Lovely and warm (despite the actual temperature of the air…).

Watching Me, Watching You

Seriously, how fantastically charismatic are Starlings? This lovely moment was taken down by tower bridge in the middle of October. Little & Large at its best.

Nibbling Nuts

Aside from pigeons, squirrels are high up my list of UK wildlife I like to photograph. It’s a bit limited in London, with either the above or rats… Still, this little guy was shot in awful light at a very slow speed, but he stayed rigid for me long enough to get a close up. Very proud of this and the focus. It was taken with my D5000 and it was the first day I’d walked around London with it.
