Day 17 – Osaka Rain

1.18PM, Hotel Sunroute Umeda – It has been pouring with rain the entire morning. I woke at the time I planned, looked out the window and decided that my intended trip to Mt. Koya wouldn’t be any fun. I’m not too disheartened – if anything, leaving it for a return visit in the future is a good idea. I’m a bit burned out from temples and shrines, so seeing a mountain full of, no matter how impressive, would likely reduce the impact.
So instead, on top of the lie-in I had, I’m going to go shopping. I’ve got 3 days left and 21,000 yen left. There’s a nearby Hilton Shopping Complex which has over a hundred stores. It’s only a five minute walk with an umbrella and hopefully I’ll be able to pick up some clothes. There might also be some gift ideas.
6.34PM, Sunroute Hotel Umeda – Rain rain go away.
