Resolution Completed

On the 1st of January, I made a resolution following a mind blowing revelation (before blogging about it on the 19th). I’d hit critical mass with games – I’d spent a ludicrous amount of money on Steam during its Winter Sale purely because it felt good. I had little desire to play any of them, but succumbed to retail therapy which as you know, is often the cruellest of mistresses.
Once I’d gone back to work I came to the conclusion that enough was enough. Thus for the sake of my sanity and wallet, I’d pledged not buy a single game in January 2011 and from thereon in, only purchase one per month.
Today is the 1st February and I can say completed my aim. In fact, so great is the free time I’ve had (the only games I’ve been playing have been Magicka for Preview / Review and Bloodlines Champions), that I’ve decided to see how far I go. While the yearning for Hot Pursuit and Dead Space 2 goes on, it’ll be interesting to see just how much money I can save.
Enjoy the picture I took in the park last week.
