Photo Featured On The Discerning Photographer

Copyright: Marco Fiori 2011

As a photographer, there’s an almost infinite amount of websites out there that offer advice, tips, critique and showcases. One of my favourites is from US photographer, Andrew Boyd, who runs The Discerning Photographer. It’s a photo blog that offers regular advice in easy to understand plain English. It doesn’t overcomplicate the message and Andrew’s both excellent in his critique, yet not overly harsh.

I’m mentioning all this because he’s started a monthly Flickr Group critique where he takes some images from the public pool and explains why he likes them / what could be done to them. In the first post of its kind, he chose the above Cherubs shot I took a few weeks ago in a Church in London.

You can find the post, which I’m naturally chuffed about, here.

It’s making me think of Charles Dickens for some reason or other.
